Stephen A. Harmon is a multi-award-winning photojournalist. The Hoosier State Press Association has awarded him photo of the year, and various other awards, a dozen times. A natural behind the camera from his early teen years, Stephen has worked his way through high school and college behind the lens. Contests and awards were created to further challenge him at Ball State's highly-regarded journalism program, and he thrived on setting the bar higher.
After paying his dues in the daily newspaper industry for nine years following graduation, Stephen supplemented his career experience with intensive training in the Apple Computer industry. Working with movie studios, broadcast television and cable network programming to support image-crunching hardware and software, where he developed his customer service skills into a philosophy that serves him today: do whatever it takes to get the job done right.
With experience as a stills photographer on a major Hollywood movie set, he moved forward into commercial photography, and has worked with both professional models as well as brand-building strategies for such organizations as Jim Beam, Yellow Ambulance, French Lick Springs Resort Casino, and the YMCA. Steve looks forward to working with more business clients, providing environmental portraiture of the team's best assets: its people, and highlighting the beauty of each precious example of product that the business presents to its customer.
When he's not shooting weddings, sports, portraiture, or commercial gigs, Stephen captures the joy displayed by his children as they go about their daily lives, and values the time he has to spend with them. An active member of his church, Stephen strives to be a blessing to the community, while at the same time being down-to-earth and easy to relate with.
We would be pleased to show you entire weddings, entire photo albums, and give you more references if you would like.
While Stephen may pour his heart into the business, the best asset is the person in front of the camera -
Stephen is thrilled to have the privilege of being part of your life in such an important way: the guardians of your personal memories or corporate image. That is serious business, and he takes the responsibility seriously.
