Carmelo could barely speak through the smile on his face as he recited his vows in the gazebo on the Parade Grounds at Fort Knox, ky.
Bonny and Carmelo get a few minutes to reflect the ceremony they just held and express a tender moment outside of the Saber and Quill, the Officer’s Club at Fort Knox, Ky. Bonnie met Carmelo while stationed in Italy with the US Army and their love kept them together.
Bonny and Carmelo share a kiss outside the officers club on post at Fort Knox beneath a gorgeous sky of blue and magenta.
Perfect timing in capturing the bride both from the front and back as she walks down the aisle at Sojourn Midtown Church in Louisville, Ky. The bright white light in the center of the photo is my flash unit going off, taking a picture of the front of the bride as she walks, escorted, down the aisle. This photograph was taken by a remote camera I had positioned in the church’s balcony and triggered remotely. I use this technique whenever possible to give multiple angles of the same event.
Chelsea and Anthony look over those in attendance from the altar at Sojourn Midtown Church in Louisville, Ky. It’s real important, as a photographer, to get all of the images that you know your clients will want throughout the day, but you also need to make sure and not distract from what the couple are doing, most importantly, during the ceremony. Having photographed news for years, I understand how to move through an event and not call all that much attention to myself. Planning pays off in great images.
Thank The Lord that the sun was setting and just at the right angle to spotlight the couple as they share a moment amongst the pillars in the ceremony green at Garden Court in Louisville, Ky.
Wow… It looks beautiful, but it took a lot of light to really bring the details out of Chelsea and Anthony as they share a moment before joining their family and friend on the lawn outside of Garden Court in Louisville, Ky. The sunset was gorgeous and extremely bright as well as low in the sky and I definitely wanted to work with is and bring a balance between that and the couple.
The grounds at Garden Court is just gorgeous, day or night. Here, the couple revisits the fountain I photographed them near earlier in the day before the reception started.
Chelsea and Anthony make their exit from Garden Court in Louisville, Ky in a vintage Ford Mustang Convertible. What a way to end a wonderful day.
The couple ended up back at the Omni Hotel in Louisville, Ky and, without getting too invasive, we found a nice hallway in which to do some couples portraiture. I offer full day photography and work with the couple to encourage an after reception photo shoot with just the three of us, should the couple still have the energy to do so.
Even though it was raining, I was prepared to grab this photograph as the bride and groom share a moment beneath their umbrella in front of The Culbertson West during their reception. You can’t fight Mother Nature. I’ve found that you can get some real beautiful images in the rain if you can prepare for it. I planned ahead and made lighting rigs for some of my location lighting to make sure everything stayed dry during the light rain.
Adrienne and Alex kiss on their way down the aisle after being pronounced man and wife at The Culbertson West in New Albany, IN.
Little did they know… Grade school to wedding day…

Grant and Lupita share the dance floor one last time during their reception at Kai's in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Wedding guests and family all joined in to circle the couple and to wish them good fortune.
Bradley and Kate jump for joy on the bed in their honeymoon suite. The couple switched from their tuxedo and gown and donned the traditional Korean Hanbok during the reception to finish out the night.
Bradley and Kate spend a few intimate moments under the veil after their ceremony at the Old Medical School Building in louisville
Jessica and Chad stole away to the Rathskeller in the basement of the Seelbach Hilton right off 4th Street in Louisville after their reception. The couple and I returned to the hotel after their reception for a little Bride and Groom session, taking in the many locations the area has to offer.
