As their preacher addresses the couple’s guests, the couple turn to look at those that gathered in the gazebo on the Parade Grounds at Fort Knox. I was able to gain entrance to the base as part of my involvement photographing the couple.

Here Comes the Bride

Perfect timing in capturing the bride both from the front and back as she walks down the aisle at Sojourn Midtown Church in Louisville, Ky. The bright white light in the center of the photo is my flash unit going off, taking a picture of the front of the bride as she walks, escorted, down the aisle. This photograph was taken by a remote camera I had positioned in the church’s balcony and triggered remotely. I use this technique whenever possible to give multiple angles of the same event.

Chelsea and Anthony look over those in attendance from the altar at Sojourn Midtown Church in Louisville, Ky. It’s real important, as a photographer, to get all of the images that you know your clients will want throughout the day, but you also need to make sure and not distract from what the couple are doing, most importantly, during the ceremony. Having photographed news for years, I understand how to move through an event and not call all that much attention to myself. Planning pays off in great images.

You don't fathers lose it until the father daughter dance, Which is fine by me, and it makes for wonderful photographs. Erica's Father hugs her right after their dance during their beach-side reception in Cancun Mexico.

Daniel and Erica take a few minutes after their wedding ceremony to stroll along the beach. The couple were married at the Now Sapphire Resort in Cancun Mexico and spent the week relaxing and touring local ruins and sights.

Erica and her bridesmaids were just a pleasure to work with for the four days we were in Cancun. I was able to spend some time getting to know them, the groomsmen and other guest, which helped me figure out how to best photograph them and we just had a blast!

Beautiful Bride...

Erica stands in one of the restaurant cabanas at the Now Sapphire Resort in Cancun, Mexico. The resort was filled with open air areas, restaurants and bars and the staff was more than accommodating when it came to photography.
